4 Paws Lodge & Daycare

I fell into working with dogs when a friend of mine called and said she had seen a job advertised in a doggie daycare. I love dogs, we always had one growing up and my best friend and I from a young age always brought home varies animals we had rescued. Mother used to go a little insane with it I think. I called about the job and this crazy journey began. It was quite the shock to the system to be around so many lovely little gifts not to mention the tiffs and parcels which had to be dealt with constantly, but who couldn't love the environment. The place itself is magical in the garden of Ireland near Powerscourt, going to work still is refreshing and grounding. When the opportunity to buy the business came up I just couldn't resist. My partner and I had already began the home boarding as owners would ask when holidays arose and knowing the dogs and their personalities it was a no brainer. Niamh also has always had dogs and plenty of experience as her mother is a retired professor of Veterinary. So

in 2016 the company was born, although had been running for 6 years previous and we are happy to say we still have most original doggies and of course some new friends.My original background was banking, and Niamh's communications but sometimes in life your true passion calls and the opportunity for your dream job comes your way, so we grabbed it with both hands and heart. 

All our dogs are treated as our own, we have 5 rescue babies. A 17 year old sheltie cross, a princess of a lurcher, handsome German Shepard and 2 crazy, gentle pointer cross darlings.We foster greyhounds also so if you're looking to home a beautiful placid dog drop us a line.
